Hey there! We’re Justin and Christina. Thank you so much for taking the time to read about us. We hope this helps you get to know us!

We met at a church picnic in 2016. We went on two dates before Christina went on vacation for three weeks, but we emailed almost every day while she was gone. After she returned, we completely fell in love. Justin’s dad had always advised him to wait a year before proposing to anyone, but he only made it 10 months! One of the things that I love about Justin is how genuinely interested he is in everyone he meets. He has an insatiable curiosity about people and the world. He can explain how a rocket ship works, or how to start a fire with a battery and a piece of steel wool!

Justin comes from a family of artists and musicians, and he is extremely creative too. He works in the film industry, and in his free time, he loves to sketch, paint and play the guitar. Christina is most likely the rarest person you’ll ever meet. Her kind and generous nature is unparalleled. I know it sounds like I’m hyping her up here, but she really is an incredible person. Before we met I had only one quality I was looking for in a wife - humility. Little did I know that I would meet the one person on this earth who absolutely exemplifies that trait.

On top of being humble, Christina is incredibly smart. She speaks fluent Spanish and French and works as a translator. She’s also an insatiable reader, having a particular affinity for works of classic literature...

We live in a two-bedroom apartment in a three-apartment building. It’s not a huge space, but we enjoy making it a cozy and welcoming place for friends and family. One of our favorite things about the apartment is the big private deck. It’s great for barbecues with friends in the summer and making snowmen in the winter!

We live in a diverse, family-friendly neighborhood near a big park in Brooklyn. We enjoy walking to church through the farmer’s market on Sunday mornings. A lot of our friends from church live in the neighborhood, and we love bumping into people we know in the street –...

Christina’s family lives in Canada, while Justin’s family lives in California. Although they aren’t nearby, we’re always eager to spend time together when we get the chance. We also video call with them regularly. This baby will be the first grandchild on both sides, so everyone is very excited!

Most of our vacations are spent with our families. Justin has lots of cousins, aunts, and uncles and his family loves having big fun get-togethers. He also has fond memories of trips to Disneyland and Knott’s Berry Farm. We can’t wait to take a child to these places when we...

When we’re not visiting our families, our favorite trips are road trips. We drove all the way from California to New York one year, and another time we spent a week driving around Scotland. We can’t wait to explore new places with a child! Closer to home, we enjoy game nights – with friends or by ourselves – and hanging out in our hammocks!

We are both big fans of Christmas, and the holiday season is especially great in New York! We have fun mixing the traditions from Justin’s Mexican-American family and Christina’s British upbringing. Last Christmas, we learned to make tamales, and...
